[MPlayer-users] problems playing some mms streams

hi,

trying to play mms streams from www.viva.tv i encountered a few
problems: while some of the streams work, most actually don't.

for example, the following streams work here:

http://62.153.249.21/Ondemand/viva/ondemand/stars/depeche_mode/enjoy_the_silence_dsl.wmv.asx

and the following ones don't:
http://62.153.249.21/Ondemand/viva/ondemand/99_special/bowling_columbine/bowling_for_columbine_dsl.wmv.asx
http://62.153.249.21/Ondemand/viva/ondemand/stars/beginner/beginner_faeule_dsl.wmv.asx
http://62.153.249.21/Ondemand/viva/ondemand/stars/ashanti/ashanti_rock_with_u_dsl.wmv.asx

can anyone confirm this "bug"?
there's more music videos on their home page, these are only
examples. to try them on a slow connection, just replace the "dsl" in
the url with "isdn".

as a workaround, i manually got the mms urls from the asx files, and
replaced mms:// with mmst:// to make them work - though this is
obviously not a real solution to the problem. also, the performance
with mmst is actually much worse (consider this a 2nd bugreport for
that :)).

example:
mms://193.159.251.27/Ondemand/viva/ondemand/99_special/bowling_columbine/bowling_for_columbine_dsl.wmv
mms://193.159.251.27/Ondemand/viva/ondemand/stars/beginner/beginner_faeule_dsl.wmv
doesn't work here, but:
mmst://193.159.251.27/Ondemand/viva/ondemand/99_special/bowling_columbine/bowling_for_columbine_dsl.wmv
mmst://193.159.251.27/Ondemand/viva/ondemand/stars/beginner/beginner_faeule_dsl.wmv
does.

maybe someone can find out what causes this, and maybe also why the
mmst:// performance is so bad?

PS: there's also a live mms stream that i can't get to work either,
but the windows media player currently seems to have problems with
that specific url too. it's mms://193.159.247.26/live/viva1tv/adsl
(changing to mmst doesnt help either).
