Finally! Congrats on 1.0pre8!
A small glitch (I believe). I have the xvid file in a non-standard location, and using --with-xvidlibdir and --with-xvidincdir used to work, but now when "make" tries to compile xvid_rc.c it dies because the -I pointing to the location of xvid is no longer there. My workaround was to add the xvid includes and libs to --with-extraincdir and --with-extralibdir.
