Don't hold your breath, 1.1.0 will go alpha hopefully in time for christmas
(06 of course!), 1.2.0 with new export layer will take some more months at
present development rate. :|

To be honest, understanding old code can be pretty hard as write new one.
export_ffmpeg is a fairly big (59KB size, 1691 lines long) beast, and it's
sometime messy.
Anyway, I've no intention to force you or someone else on this direction :)
If someone would like to give a try, just drop me a note :)

Just rewrite a few modules, or just one (encode_ffmpeg in that case),
would be a big help.
(again, I'm not asking you to do so, unless of course you're already
interested. It's just a reminder for anyone out there interested in hacking
transcode ;) )

Status of new modules is reported (in a fairly regular fashion) here:

Thanks :)
